The Owners purchased two neighboring condominiums in the late 1980s. At that time they did a complete remodel and enjoyed raising their two children in the space. As recent empty nesters, the owners presented the design team with four objectives to accomplish through renovation; change the materials palette and furnishings to create a warm and comfortable home, rework the kitchen and family rooms to create a more open plan, create a new master dressing area and bath for him and create a multi-purpose media / music / guest room. Warm, natural materials provide the architectural backdrop for timeless furniture covered in soft textural fabrics. The new colors and thoughtful lighting design support the Owners' extensive art collection and the transformation of space will serve this family well for years to come.
