Lake Washington

This Lake Washington home was commissioned by clients with a deep appreciation for both traditional and contemporary architecture. The architects responded by blending traditional gabled roofs and white-painted wood siding with modern detailing, such as steel windows and zinc shingles. Inside, wide-plank oak floors, beamed ceilings, and hand-plastered walls create a warm yet minimalist living environment.

The furniture design complements the architecture, merging classic shapes with intriguing finishes like parchment paper and silver lacquer, particularly in the living room. Subtle accents of color in the kitchen range, fabrics, and art introduce a refreshing contrast to the home’s neutral palette.
