Broadmoor
After raising a family in this 1928 Mediterranean-style home in Seattle, the homeowners sought a renovation that would seamlessly serve their next chapter as empty nesters. The original kitchen, remodeled in the 1990s, felt disconnected from the rest of the home. Our design challenge was to create a new, highly functional kitchen that would complement and enhance the warmth and romance of the original architecture. Hand-glazed and cerused cabinet finishes, along with custom door details and backsplash tiles, brought a unique touch to the space.
On the main floor, quality existing furniture was preserved and reupholstered, while new fabrics, furnishings, and area rugs offered a fresh, modern update. Custom furniture pieces were crafted for the renovated Master Suite with the help of local trade workrooms. In the Master Bathroom, we optimized a small floor plan, enhancing its functionality and selected materials that were in harmony with the main floor. The result is a quiet sophistication that unifies the entire home, paying homage to its rich history while embracing a modern, timeless aesthetic.
