Suncadia
The owners of this home, past clients of Hoedemaker Pfeiffer, were thrilled to purchase another of the firm’s recent designs for their weekend retreat. While the location and overall layout were ideal, certain details required refinement. The challenge was to work within the existing structure to create more usable space while updating the interiors to reflect the lifestyle of a young, active family of four.
On the main floor, the layout was modified to include a library adjacent to the living room. On the second floor, a new bunk room and separate play area were created for the children. The design goal for the interior palette and furniture was to echo the surrounding landscape—calm, inviting, and comfortable.
With a limited interior furniture budget, the designer and owner collaborated to source timeless pieces from major retailers, pairing them with custom and vintage accessories. The result is a home that exudes warmth and simplicity—a place where you simply want to be.
